At Alphyn, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have regarding your data. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information:

• Email address (provided during registration)
• Telegram username and chat ID (provided when you connect Telegram alerts)
• Password (stored in hashed form via Supabase Auth)

Payment information:

• Billing details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. Alphyn does not store your full credit card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment credentials. We receive from Stripe only a customer identifier, subscription status, and transaction metadata necessary to manage your account.

Usage data:

• Pages viewed, features used, and interactions within the dashboard
• Alert preferences and watchlist configurations
• Device type, browser type, IP address, and approximate location
• Timestamps of access and session duration

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Authenticate your identity and manage your account
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Deliver sentiment alerts to your Telegram account
• Send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, billing receipts)
• Improve the Service through aggregated, anonymized usage analysis
• Respond to support requests and communicate important updates
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access

3. Third-Party Services

Alphyn relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy governing data handling:

• Supabase -- Authentication and database hosting. Your email and hashed password are stored in Supabase. Supabase Privacy Policy
• Stripe -- Payment processing. Stripe collects and processes your payment information. Stripe Privacy Policy
• Resend -- Transactional email delivery. Your email address is shared with Resend to send account-related emails. Resend Privacy Policy
• Telegram -- Alert delivery. Your Telegram username and chat ID are used to send you sentiment alerts via the Telegram Bot API. Telegram Privacy Policy
• CoinGecko -- Cryptocurrency market data source. No personal data is shared with CoinGecko. CoinGecko Privacy Policy
• StockTwits -- Social sentiment data source. No personal data is shared with StockTwits.
• Netlify -- Website hosting and deployment. Netlify may collect standard server logs including IP addresses. Netlify Privacy Policy

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

Alphyn uses cookies and browser localStorage to:

• Maintain your authentication session
• Store your preferences and dashboard settings
• Remember your subscription status for UI rendering

We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. The cookies and localStorage entries we use are strictly functional and necessary for the Service to operate correctly.

You can clear cookies and localStorage through your browser settings at any time. Doing so will log you out and reset any locally stored preferences.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:

• Account data: Retained until you delete your account
• Payment records: Retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations (typically up to 7 years)
• Usage data: Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for analytics; identifiable usage logs are deleted after 12 months
• Telegram data: Your Telegram username and chat ID are deleted when you disconnect Telegram from your account or delete your account

When you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our active systems within 30 days. Some data may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before being purged.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: You may update or correct your account information at any time through your account settings.
• Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us or using the account deletion option in your settings.
• Export: You may request a machine-readable export of your personal data.
• Objection: You may object to certain processing of your data where we rely on legitimate interests.

7. Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:

• All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted via TLS/HTTPS
• Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext
• Database access is restricted and authenticated through Supabase's row-level security policies
• Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified
• Access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel only

While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to promptly addressing any security incidents.

8. Children's Privacy

Alphyn is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will:
